Victor Monreal Jr.

Victor Monreal Jr. was born in Waco, Texas on April 23, 1943. He went home to be with the Lord on March 15, 2024. He was a faithful husband, loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and respected business owner. Victor left a lifetime of memories and a lasting impact on those who loved him. 

Through his life journey, Victor touched the hearts of many with his dedication, hard work, and kindness. 

Victor is survived by his loving wife, Shirley King Monreal. Victor is loved and cherished by daughters Vickie Vasquez and spouse Eddie Vasquez Sr., Roxanne Monreal Ruiz and spouse Alfredo Ruiz, Jessica Marquez, and stepdaughter, Deborah King Fantroy. Victor’s legacy lives on through his sons, Victor Tijerina and spouse Patricia Tijerina, Michael Ray Monreal and spouse Tammy Monreal, stepsons Charles (Manuel) King Jr. and Jeffrey King and spouse Aeryn King. Victor’s legacy continues through his grandsons, Eddie Vasquez Jr., Brenden Monreal, Johnathan Tijerina, Stevan Tijerina, Aron Cervantes Monreal, Victor Andres Monreal, Nicolas Monreal Ruiz, Jackson King and granddaughters, Jessica Vasquez, Jacqueline Vasquez, Francisca Tijerina, Victoria Julissa Monreal and Shirley King. Victor rejoiced in life through 24 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews. 

Victor was preceded in death by his son, Victor Monreal, daughter, Lisa Tijerina Savage, granddaughter, Kimberly Hill, siblings, Jesse Campos, Rosalie (Chana) Rodriguez, and Emma Montoya. 

As a member of Landmark Baptist Church, those who had the privilege of knowing Victor remember him as a man of integrity and compassion. Victor’s spirit combined with his warm personality made him a figure to look up to for many. Victor’s love and care toward his family and friends will always be cherished and remembered. 

As we grieve the loss of Victor Monreal Jr., let us also celebrate the remarkable life he led and the lives he touched throughout his journey. May his memory live on in the hearts of all who had the distinct pleasure of knowing him.

Memorial Services will be held at Landmark Baptist Church on Saturday April 27, 2024 at 12 p.m.
