Teresa Martinez Torres, 95, of Waco passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday, January 8 at Oakwood Cemetery, 2124 S 5th St., Waco.
Teresa was born October 24, 1925 to Vincent and Guadalupe (Zapata) Martinez in Waco, Texas. She married Isabell Torres on August 9, 1941. She was a homemaker and seamstress by trade. Teresa was a member of El Calvario Presbyterian Church and enjoyed cooking for her church family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three sisters; two brothers; daughter, Sarah Garcia; sons, John Torres II and Joe M. Torres.
Teresa is survived by her daughters, Isabell Garcia, Christine Gonzalez, and Inez Rodriguez; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
