Ted Lewis was called home by his Heavenly Father on April 28, 2024. He had been helping care for his father-in-law while battling cancer.

Ted served in the United States Marines and fought in Vietnam. He loved his country. He loved the mountains and being amongst nature. He was known for his special gift with all animals; wolves, hawks, doves, owls, snakes, and bears, just to name a few.

Ted had a unique personality and loved to make people laugh. He always said, “It’s better to laugh than to frown.” He had many hobbies in his life: carving detailed mantles, forging knives, playing a dulcimer, writing songs, hunting and so many others.

He loved the Lord and witnessed daily to others on the internet. He didn’t just talk the talk; he walked the walk.

Ted was preceded in death by his parents, Iven and Blanche Lewis; brother-in-law, Kenneth Dickenson; son, Jeramie Whitehead; and mother-in-law, Virginia Price.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Jeanette Lewis; his beloved children, Justin Lewis, Melissa and husband Shawn Knight, Andrea, and husband Wayne Akins; his loving sister, Ann Dickenson; father-in-law, Don Price; three grandchildren, Ryan Knight, Bryant Carey, Cheyanna and husband Scott Teague; and 4 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date due to family health issues.
