Steven Harold Gardner

Steve Gardner, 69, of Golinda, Texas, passed away on April 14, 2026.

Born and raised in Waco, Texas, Steve was a proud Texan who carried his love for the outdoors throughout his life. He found great joy in hunting and fishing, spending countless hours doing what he loved most and making memories along the way.

Steve was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his son, Spencer Gardner; and his daughter, Hayley Schaper, and her husband, Adam Schaper. He was a proud grandfather to Camryn and Castin Schaper, who brought him immense happiness.

He is also survived by his brother, Larry Gardner, and his wife, Cheri Gardner; and his sister, Elaine Itkoe, and her husband, Steve Itkoe as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Gardner; his father, Bill Gardner; and his mother, Shirlee Gardner.

Steve will be remembered for his love of family, his appreciation for the outdoors, and the time he spent with those closest to him. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
