Stephanie Martin

Stephanie Rae Martin, 44, was born on May 17, 1979 in Waco, Texas to Gloria and Charlie Martin III and passed to eternal peace on Sunday, July 23, 2023. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 28 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home with Pastor Amy Castello officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Waco Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors 6 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 27 at the funeral home.

Stephanie grew up and resided in Robinson, Texas. She spent most of her childhood keeping her parents on their toes as she could best be described as a spitfire who never knew a stranger. After graduating high school, Stephanie went on to receive her Associate’s degree and establish a 21-year career at Providence hospital as an X-ray Technician. She loved her work and the coworkers-turned-friends whom she got to work alongside. She enjoyed traveling, shopping and anything that involved live music. Most will remember her as the life of the party because wherever there was fun, there was Stephanie, too!

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mary Haffa and Charlie Martin II; Tomasa and Jesse Galvan.

Stephanie is survived by her parents, Gloria and Charlie Martin III; daughters, KiAnna Martin, Peyton Montgomery, Kamryn Montgomery, and Raylie Montgomery; siblings, Greg Herrera (and wife Joanna), Angela Burleson (and husband James), Stacey Martin (and husband Darrell), and Charlie Martin IV; nieces, Danielle Basaldua, Isabella Herrera, Sarah Strowger, Amberlin Martin, and MaKenzie Shofner; nephew, Thomas Herrera Jr; and best friend, Romy Rivera.

The family would like to thank the Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest ICU team for the special care they provided Stephanie during her final days.
