Ruth Ann Purczinsky, 89, of Chilton, TX, passed away Monday, June 2, 2025, due to complications of a stroke. Graveside services will be 1:00pm, Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Chilton Cemetery.

Ruth was born January 12, 1936, to James G. and Ethel Irene (Miller) Pratt, in Moulton, TX. She accepted Christ at a young age and was a longtime member of First Baptist Church Chilton. She married Herbert L. Purczinsky, Jr., on June 27, 1953. They would have been married 72 years. Ruth worked at Youngs Grocery Store, and at several floral shops in Waco. She retired from American Income Life.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, James and Irene Pratt; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Jack Maxey; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Bernice Pratt, Jr., brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Alice Pratt; nieces and nephews, Sherrell Rogers, Larry Maxey, Ray Pratt, Steven Pratt; great-niece, Lori Michell; great- nephews Andy Mikulenka and Steven Sumrall great-great nephews, Cooper and Levi Maxey; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Martin and Evelyn Paar.

She is survived by her husband, Herbert L. Purczinsky, Jr; nieces and nephews, James and Sharon Maxey, Kathy Maxey, Rachael and J.D. Price, Rebecca and Crystal Maxey, Carol Henry, Darlene Citty, Valerie and James Moore, Taylor Bosse, Kristian Nutt, Colton Bosse, Avery Bosse, Evan Maxey, Scott Michell, Jack Michell, Mark Michell, Mary Michell and Stacy McDonald .

Pallbearers will be Colton Bosse, Evan Maxey, Kristian Nutt, J.D. Price, Michael James, Darrell McDade, and Jack Michell. Honorary pallbearers will be The Chilton Volunteer Fire Department.
