It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ruben H. Bravo on June 4, 2025. To honor his memory, we invite friends and family to join us for a visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday June 10,2025 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, where a Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm. A heartfelt Mass celebrating Ruben's life will take place on Wednesday June 11, 2025 at 10:00 am at St. Francis Catholic Church, followed by a Christian burial at Oakwood Cemetery. Ruben will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Ruben H. Bravo was born on October 16, 1946, in Waco, Texas, to Joe Bravo and Ester Hernandez Bravo. Throughout his life, Ruben dedicated himself to serving the community through his work with the City of Waco. After retiring, he continued to support others by taking on a role in security. His commitment to helping those around him truly reflected his caring nature.
Ruben’s departure leaves a profound void, as he was preceded in death by his beloved parents; his wife Janie Montoya Bravo; and his dear brother, Robert Bravo.
Ruben Bravo is lovingly remembered by his brothers Joe Bravo and the late wife Frances Bravo of Waco, Rudy Bravo and wife Delia Bravo of Waco. His sisters Minerva Chavez and husband Abel Chavez of Waco, Elvira Bravo and husband Frank Colon of Puerto Rico, Margie Pike and husband Jim Pike of Colorado, and Teresa Bravo of Waco
He leaves behind his cherished daughter, Michelle Bravo, and Andrew Mansolo of Waco, as well as sons Vincent Bravo, Michael Bravo, and wife Anna Bravo all of Waco. Ruben's legacy continues through his beloved grandchildren: Angelo Guerrero, Miranda Palomo, Sebastian Bravo and his wife Alicia Bravo, Arieanna and Alandria King, Michaela Bravo, Michael Bravo Jr., Leopoldo Cardenas and his wife Jasmine Cardenas, Angel Cardenas, and Christian Cardenas. He was also blessed with several great-grandchildren, who brought him immense joy.
As we gather to honor his life, pallbearers will include Angelo Guerrero, Sebastian Bravo, Mario Sustaita, Patrick Mayes, Andrew Mansolo, and Rudy Bravo, who will carry forward his spirit with love and respect. Ruben will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
