Ronald “Ronnie” Dennis Marshall, of Moody, TX, was called home on August 13, 2025. A visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 23rd, at Trinity Fellowship Church, 388 Cotton Belt Parkway, McGregor, with Pastor Roger West officiating.
Ronnie was born on September 20, 1958, in Waco, TX, to Allen Lloyd “Lucky” Marshall and Dorathy Jewel Daily. He grew up in Moody, Texas, and graduated from Moody High School in 1976. Over the years, he worked at M&M Mars, Wilsonart, and most recently at Caterpillar, Inc. He enjoyed Galveston Island, fishing, anything guitar-related, the Houston Astros, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Ronnie married Helen Dianne Wade on February 21, 1997, in Moody, where they lived throughout their lives.
Ronnie was highly active in his church, Trinity Fellowship Church in McGregor, TX, where he played bass guitar as part of the Praise Team. He became an ordained minister in 2011 and officiated his children’s weddings.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Marshall, and his father, Lloyd Allen Marshall.
He is survived by his mother, Dorathy Marshall of Moody; sons, Corey Marshall of McGregor; David Marshall and wife Katherine of Robinson; Brandon Marshall of Waco; and daughter, Amanda Chaney of Waco; daughter and son-in-law, JD and Micheale Minatrea of Cameron; son, James Martin and partner Diana Muntean of Moody; brothers: Micheal Marshall and wife, Patti of Moody, Mark Marshall and wife, Karen of Temple, Perry Marshall and wife, Becky of Eddy, Ronnie Marshall and wife, Helen of Moody; daughter, Judy Slentz and husband, Jeff of Eddy. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Cameron, Kynlie, Kaygen, Caleb, Sayde, Harper Lee JW, Emily, Chase, Zoey, Jesse James, Natalie, Bradley (“Blue”), and Gary Eli—along with nieces, nephews, and other friends and family.
