Robert ‘Bobby’ Malcolm Whyburn, age 67 passed in his home of Robinson, TX on July 22, 2024. Bobby was born on October 29, 1956, to Ruth Marie Whyburn and Calvin ‘Cal’ James Whyburn. Bobby grew up in Troy, Texas and was the youngest of three boys. Bobby spent the majority of his childhood getting into trouble with his older brother Jim. Bobby graduated from Baylor University in 1979. Bobby is known for his love of Dr. Pepper, witty comebacks, and being a long-standing Baylor Bear fan. However, one of his most memorable features was his undying love for the Lord. A family joke was that he loved Jesus so much, he wanted hair just to resemble Jesus. Bobby married the love of his life Cathy on June 20, 1981. Together they had two boys and two grandchildren whom they loved whole-heartedly.
Bobby is preceded in death by his Mother Ruth Whyburn, Father Calvin Whyburn, and Brother Donny Whyburn.
He is survived by his wife Cathy Whyburn, son and daughter-in-law Blake and Shana Whyburn, son and daughter-in-law Corey and Peggy Whyburn, and brother Jim Whyburn. He was a loving Pappa to Tylor and wife Ashley and Haylee, and an adored Uncle to Anna, Jeff, and Jill.
