Rebecca June McCurdy

Rebecca June McCurdy, 65, of Waco, TX, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Rebecca was born March 18, 1961, to Tommy Jack and Doris Fay (Truehitt) McCurdy, in Waco, TX. She worked at Adam’s Drive-Inn, in Waco for many years where most people knew her as Miss Becky. She worked hard and loved harder. Her greatest happiness was her family, especially being a Gigi. She shared a special relationship with her great-grandson, Liam. Rebecca was a strong, fearless, gun-toting woman who loved the Dallas Cowboys, classic rock, and Jesus.

Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents, Tommy Jack and Doris McCurdy; brothers, Tommy McCurdy, Jr. and Rocky McCurdy.

She is survived by her son, Christopher Williams; daughter, Resha Goodwin and husband Jon; grandchildren, Chelsea Hicks, Nathan Kemp and Chelsea Brianne Cox; great-grandchildren, Liam Hicks and Freya Rousey; longtime partner, JR Renabato; sisters, Sandra Rawlinson, Joyce Ivy, Charlotte Rawls, Sharon Thomas and husband Jack; brother, David McCurdy and wife Kristen; special step-mom, Pam McCurdy; sister-in-law, Pamela Woodruff McCurdy; daughter/niece, Misty Ivy, very special nephew, Oscar Juarez, sister/cousin, Missy Chalifoux, and her life long best friends, Marylou Guarjardo, Robin Whisenhunt, and Beverly West, along with many other nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

The family would like to thank the 3rd floor ICU at Baylor Scott & White – Hillcrest, especially to nurses Michelle, Austin, and Tammy; along with Dr. Cahill and Dr. Perumean and their amazing team.

Pallbearers will be Jon Goodwin, Jason Ivy, Matthew Doughtery, Lonnie Sawyer, Tommy McCurdy, and Timbo Ivy.
