Rebecca Lynne Allen

October 7, 1961 — April 16, 2026

Waco

Rebecca Lynne Allen, 64, of Texas, passed away on April 16, 2026. She was born on October 7, 1961, in Temple, Texas.

Rebecca, lovingly called “Daisy,” was a God-fearing woman whose life and testimony touched countless hearts and guided many on their journey to Christ. Her favorite scripture, Philippians 4:13 — “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” — was not just a verse she quoted, but a truth she lived every day.

She had a vibrant, free-spirited soul — a true hippie at heart. Her favorite place was anywhere her family was, especially if it meant being at the beach, where she felt peace and joy. She would happily take an adventure on the back of a Harley-Davidson anytime she got the chance. Rebecca found joy in life’s simple and meaningful moments: praise and worship through singing while barefoot and shaking her tambourine, tending to her garden, and reminiscing about her childhood working alongside her grandfather on the family farm in Rosebud, Texas. She absolutely loved Jesus, denim, pickles, and peppermints. She carried a warmth and authenticity that made everyone feel seen, valued, and loved.

Rebecca faithfully served her church, Hallsburg Baptist, and loved being an educator with Hallsburg ISD. She also spent many years as a bus driver — people often joking that she drove it “on two wheels.” Known for her tireless work ethic, she cleaned the school, homes, and churches without complaint and proudly served what many called the best burgers at the Little Red Store in Hallsburg while working for Larry Dawson. She was the kind of woman who could work circles around everyone.

She lived boldly and transparently, never claiming perfection but always choosing honesty. Her strength, resilience, and unwavering faith built a legacy of healing, courage, and deep love within her family.

Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents, William and Elnora Schwake; her brother, Brian Schwake; her brother-in-law, Tony Vonasek; and her husband, Lonnie Joe Allen.

She is survived by her children: Jason Copeland; Babylove Annie May and her husband, William May; Kayla Brown; and Andrew Dosser. She is also survived by her sister, Debora Vonasek; her brother, Gregory Schwake; and her sister-in-law, Cyndi Schwake.

She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Gage May, Hunter May, Kailyn Harrell, Brice May, Addelynn Gibbs, Collin Gibbs, Velina Stuckey, and Ranger Ridings, her great-grandchildren, Blakey Harrell, Luka May, and Liam May.

Rebecca is also survived by her nieces, Candice Vonasek and Cassie Monaghan; and her nephews, Brian Vonasek, Ryan Joiner, and Jeremy Brown.

Rebecca’s life was a testament to faith, grit, laughter, and unconditional love. Though she will be deeply missed, her light will continue to shine through all who were blessed to know her.
