Ramage (Ray) Louis Streeter gained his heavenly angel wings on July 16, 2025 and was reunited with his beloved wife. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 22 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home with Pastor John Rambeau officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Oakwood Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 5-7 p.m. Monday, July 21 at the funeral home.
Ray was born on July 18, 1944, in Jamestown, LA to Alfred and Flora Streeter. He attended school in the Westlake area and on August 14, 1962 joined the United States Navy where he proudly served his country until April 9, 1965. He was a beekeeper in California until he moved back to Louisiana and met the love of his life, Gwendolyn Ann Viken. They married on January 14,1967 and had two daughters, Theresa (Teri) and Tammera (Tami).
Ray was a professional truck driver for over 50 years where he earned many awards and served as job steward throughout his career.
For those that knew and loved Ray knew his sense of humor.
Left to cherish and honor his memory are his daughters Theresa (Matt) Dillon and Tami (Patrick) Russell; Grandchildren Courtney (Seth) Greger, Dakota Dillon, Rusty (Hannah) Russell, Ashley (Keith) Vinson; Great Grandchildren Kyler, Ottilie, Kashton and Eva-Ann Greger, Erin Benak and Liam Russell and Kaden, Addison and Austin Vinson; Nephews Jason Duggan, Glenn (Amy) Streeter and David (Misty) Streeter, Mother-In-Law Jeannette Viken and numerous family and friends.
Ray is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Gwendolyn Viken Streeter, Parents Alfred and Flora Streeter, Sister Mercile Duggan, Brother Frank Aaron Streeter and grandsons Broc Louis Streeter and Matthew Dillon.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Wesley Woods and Amedisys Hospice for their loving care of our dad.
