Perry Goolsby

Daniel “Perry” Goolsby, 80, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2026. He was born on August 18, 1945, to Albert and Inez Goolsby in Alvin, TX.

Perry was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Kenneth Goolsby. He is also survived by his sister, Kathleen Wilkinson; his sister, Shirley King and husband Harlan; his brother, David Goolsby; and several beloved nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joyce Goolsby; his children, Curtis Goolsby and wife Becky, Stephanie Goolsby, and Michelle Gloor and husband Jon; his grandchildren, Chris, Caitlin, Caleb, Trevor, Brandon, Sarah, and Sean; and his great-granddaughter, Mollie. Nothing brought Grandad greater joy than spending time with his family.

Perry worked at Gulf States Paper in Waco for 41 years before retiring. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, kindness, and devotion to his family.

Though he is no longer with us, his love, guidance, and example will continue to inspire those who knew him.

Forever loved, forever remembered, and forever missed.

Pallbearers will be Chris Goolsby, Brandon Goolsby, Caleb Gloor, Trevor Gloor, Caitlin Goolsby, and Rob Bush. Honorary pallbearers are Sarah Goolsby and Sean Gloor.
