In Loving Memory of Pedro Antonio Galvan Sr.
Pedro Antonio Galvan Sr., age 78, of Abbott, Texas, passed peacefully into the loving arms of his Heavenly Father on Monday, July 28, 2025.
A celebration of Pedro’s life will be held at Pecan Grove on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 11:00 AM.
Pedro was born on January 18, 1947, in Mt. Calm, Texas, to Jesse and Tomasa Galvan. On January 18, 1964, he married the love of his life, Rita Trevino. Rita preceded him in death on September 24, 2017. Their marriage was filled with devotion, laughter, and unwavering support.
Pedro was a dedicated truck driver whose passion for the open road was matched only by his love for family and friends. He was a wonderful provider, a loving husband, a devoted father, and a proud grandfather. He found joy in visiting casinos, spending time with his family, and making memories with those he cared for most. His generous spirit and steady presence will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Tomasa Galvan, sisters Beatrice Galvan, Josephine Olivarez, and Rosemary Ramirez; and great-granddaughter Lilianna Gonzales.
Pedro is survived by his children: Pete Galvan Jr. and wife Maria of Abbott, Angela McLaughlin and husband Mac of West, Philip Galvan and wife Janette of Marlin, and Andrew Galvan of Waco. He also leaves behind his beloved brothers and sisters, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom carry his legacy forward.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff of Ascension Providence Congestive Heart Failure Clinic in Waco for the exceptional care, kindness, and spiritual support they provided.
