Pauline Bates

Pauline Copaus Bates 83, of Waco went home to be with her Lord and Savior November 1, 2009. Funeral Services will be at 10 AM Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home 3124 Robinson Dr. with Brother Greg Brumit officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 PM Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at the funeral home.
Pauline was born May 1, 1926 in Marlin Texas to Aubrey and Tiney Copaus. Pauline was a member of the Kendrick Lane Baptist Church. She lived in, and around Waco all of her life. She was a seamstress for many years, having made and designed children’s clothing.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years Ovie Conway Bates; her parents; an Infant son ; 2 brothers, and 5 sisters.
She is survived by 2 daughters Ann Cressman of Driftwood, and Jayme Bates of Lewisville; 2 sons Ronald Conway Bates of Van Alstyne, and Andy E. Bates of Tyler; a foster son Randy Allgood of Chilton; a sister Beatrice Neystel of Gholson; 10 Grandchildren, and 17 Great Grandchildren.
