Nancy Rebecca Scott, beloved wife, mother, nana, and friend, passed away on May 17, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. She was 81 years old.
Born on September 21, 1943, to Henry and Ruby Faubion, Nancy’s life was marked by devotion, warmth, and strength. All she ever wanted in life was to be a wife, mom, and nana-she lived that dream fully and beautifully. Her husband of 64 years, Frank Scott, shared that dream, working tirelessly to provide a life where Nancy could stay home and focus on raising their family.
Nancy poured her heart into raising her children with love, patience (some might question the patience part), and unwavering support. Her home was always open—whether for Home Interiors parties, backyard swim gatherings, or just a good home-cooked meal.
As a nana, Nancy shone even brighter. Her grandchildren were the joy of her life, and she was theirs. From favorite meals and movie nights to wisdom shared in quiet talks (or as she called them “Mother Nature” sermons), she created treasured memories that will live forever in the hearts of those who called her Nana.
Nancy could be feisty at times, but she had a kind heart, gentle soul, and a sense of humor that could ease any moment. Her hugs were a comfort, no matter how old you got. She loved deeply, gave generously, and lived with a grace that touched everyone who knew her.
Though we will miss her every day, Nancy’s legacy lives on in the values she instilled, the lives she shaped, and the love she gave to those around her.
She is survived by both of her brothers, Billy and Jack Faubion; her husband, Frank Scott; her children, Roddy Scott and wife Bambi of Lorena, and Kristi Kirk and husband Jason of Robinson; and most importantly, the light of her life,....her grandchildren, Bailey and Hannah Kirk, and Vance Bach. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Carolyn; and her best friend, Allene Rhodes.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Pecan Grove Funeral Home in Robinson, Texas. A celebration of Nancy’s life will take place on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Pecan Grove Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Nancy by loving your family fiercely, making time for the little things, and never underestimating the power of being a wife, mom, or nana.
