Mike Torres

Mike Torres passed away on August 12, 2026. He was born September 25, 1947, to Fernando, Sr. and Gregoria (Tenorio) Torres in Waco, TX.

Mike proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a man who found joy in the simple things in life, whether it was watching The Price Is Right and Wheel of Fortune, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, or enjoying one of his favorite traditions—Taco Tuesday.

In his younger years, Mike loved music and going dancing. As he grew older, his life became centered around what meant the most to him—his family. He loved telling jokes and making everyone laugh and especially treasured the time he spent with his nieces and nephews. When they were young, he enjoyed taking them to the movies and affectionately called them all his “clowns.” In time, the nickname came back around, and Mike lovingly became known to them as “Uncle Clown.” He also loved his church, St. Francis on the Brazos.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fernand, Sr. and Gregoria (Tenorio) Torres; his wife, Consuelo “Connie” Torres, and his sister, Mary Helen Torres.

He is survived by his sister, Lydia Torres; his brother, Fernando Torres, Jr. and wife, Cynthia; his nieces and nephews, Stephen Torres, Barbara Renee Ramos and husband, Rick, Paul Torres and wife Diana, Christopher Torres, Sr. and wife Candelaria, Joe Anthony Rodriguez, Lydia Ann Ochoa and husband, Abel, Jr., Cruz Torres and wife Eve, and Ida Mia Castillo and husband, Lonnie; along with many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Mike will be remembered for his sense of humor, his love for his family, and the laughter and special memories he leaves behind. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
