Michael "Mike" D. Chadwick

Michael Dwayne Chadwick, born May 6, 1958 age 67, of Robinson, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on April 13, 2026 after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.

He spent much of his life working with his hands and building things that lasted. He was a skilled mechanic, a home builder, and a cook. Someone who took pride in his work and in providing for the people he loved. Whether fixing something that seemed beyond repair, building a home from the ground up, or preparing a meal, he put care and effort into everything he did. Gardening was also a huge love of his. He enjoyed being able to make pickles and salsa with his own home grown vegetables. But being a grandfather was probably his favorite thing. He would do anything he could to make his grandchildren happy. Even if it meant getting his hair and make up done by them and smiling for the camera.

Michael was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Chadwick, whom he married in 1983 and devoted his life to even after she passed. Spending nearly everyday he could taking care of her final resting space; his father, Tom Chadwick; his mother, Peggy Newman; and his sister, Debra Chadwick.

He is survived by his sister, Tommie Holloway; his three daughters, Kayla Chadwick (Brandon), Mindy Olvera and Jennifer Singer (Michael); and his six grandchildren, Audrey Olvera, Caleb Brogdon, Elizabeth Jennings, Gabriella Anders, Autumn Anders, and Zayden Deveney. As well as nieces, nephews, and many cousins.

He will be remembered for his strength, his work ethic, and the life he built for his family. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
