With deep sorrow and immense love, we announce the passing of Michael Anthony Bloodworth Jr., who entered eternal rest on June 18, 2026, at the age of 34. Michael lived a life rooted in honor, courage, and service to others.
He proudly served his country in the United States Navy, carrying with him a strong sense of duty and commitment. After his military service, his calling to protect and help others continued as he became a Cedar Park Firefighter, where he served his community with compassion, strength, and unwavering dedication. Helping others was not simply a profession to Michael—it was who he was. To know Michael was to know loyalty, love, and a heart that gave freely. He had a presence that made people feel safe and cared for, and he touched countless lives through his kindness, humor, and willingness to stand beside those he loved. Though his passing leaves an unimaginable void, the memories and love he shared will remain a treasured gift to all who knew him.
Michael leaves behind his loving parents, Michael Anthony Bloodworth Sr. and Tammie Bloodworth; his siblings, Tiffaney, Kristen, Sean and his wife Shirley, Alicia and her husband Devine, and his baby brother Kevin. He is also lovingly remembered by his cherished nieces, Evelyn, Jaclyn, Eloise, and Juliette, along with many extended family members, friends, fellow service members, and brothers and sisters in the firefighting community.
Michael also carried a special love and devotion for St. Michael the Archangel, finding inspiration in the strength, courage, and protection St. Michael represented. In many ways, Michael reflected those same qualities throughout his own life. Whether serving his country, protecting his community, or standing beside those he loved, he lived as a protector in every sense of the word.
Though our hearts ache in his absence, we take comfort in knowing that his spirit, his love, and his legacy of service will continue to live on forever. "As he proudly served among his brothers in the Navy and the fire service on earth, may he now stand among God's heavenly hosts, under the protection and strength of St. Michael the Archangel."
"Then war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back." — Revelation 12:7
