Melissa Welch

Melissa Michelle Welch, 47, of Waco, TX, passed away at home, Monday, January 24, 2022, peacefully in her sleep. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m., at the funeral home.

Melissa was born April 6, 1974, in Waco, TX, to Elton Welch and Nelda (Kent) Welch. She was the most faithful prayer warrior that had a kind heart and was always thinking of others. She was a member of Amazing Grace Church in Waco. She loved music and was always listening to K-LOVE or singing at church. Family was very important to Melissa, and she enjoyed family get-togethers, laughing, joking and telling stories. She loved raising her grandson, Jacob. Melissa had a deep love of animals, especially dogs. She recued as many as she could bring home throughout her life.

Melissa was preceded in death by her father, Elton Welch.

She is survived by her mother, Nelda Welch, of China Spring; children, Jessica Haysmer of Waco, and Joshua Ramirez of Bellmead; grandson, Jacob Ramirez of Waco; sister, Misty Michulka and husband Randy of Robinson; and niece, Kaitlynn Welch of China Spring.
