Mary Ann Gamble, age 82, of Waco. Passed away Thursday, September 25, 2025 surrounded by her children, grandchildren and nieces. There will be a Celebration of Her Life with a visitation on Saturday, October 4th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco.
Mary Ann was a powerhouse of a woman. She is best known for her love of cooking and going to yard sales. In 1969, Mary married her beloved Jimmy Gamble of Royalton, Kentucky. This chance meeting at a soldier’s ball at Fort Hood turned into a whirlwind life together. She was known for her love of the flea market. All throughout the 90’s she had a booth, ran both kitchens, the plant shop and Lorena’s ballroom. Later in life, she enjoyed cooking some of the best Mexican food and hot sauce. To know her was to love her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, D.L. and Juanita Pecina; husband, Jimmy Gamble; sister, Margaret Cureton; twin daughters, Kathy and Jaine Gamble; grandsons, Anthony Keller and Mark Zuckero; granddaughter, Megan Dunigan.
Mary is survived by her sister, Eva Lockey and husband Curtis; brother, Larry Pecina and wife Raeann; children, Billy Gamble and fiancé Amber Dyer, Jimmy Gamble and wife Rachel, Gina Gamble and fiancé Tommy Clifton, Mary Ann Keller, Delfina Sandoval and husband Joe; nieces, Dana Thompson, Darlene Garcia and husband Andrew, Diane Cook and husband William; along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a great-great grandchild. She is also survived by her beloved fur babies, Gizmo and Susie.
