Martin Moreno

Martin Moreno, 73, of Hewitt, TX, passed away peacefully at his home on January 12, 2023. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 23rd, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service beginning at 12 noon, at the funeral home.

Martin was born on November 12, 1949, to Lucio, Sr. and Romana Moreno in Taylor, TX. In 1973, Martin married the love of his life Marylou Moreno. They went on to have two children: Humberto Moreno and Joanne Moreno. Martin spent his time doing landscaping work and working on lawn equipment in which he took great pride in doing.

Martin was preceded in death by his parents, Lucio and Romana Moreno, Sr.; siblings, Albert Moreno, Lucio Moreno, Jr., and Dora Fearing.

He is survived by his wife, Marylou Moreno; his children, Humberto Moreno and Joanne Moreno; grandchildren, Da’Mario Moreno, Koriyana Davis, Chelsea, Zoe, Allison, and Skylar Moreno, and his great-grandchildren, Larry and Dalton Goodman Jr.; brother, Nicasio Moreno of Chilton, TX; and sisters Julia and husband Crespin Carrazales Sr., of Rogers, TX, Mary and husband Frank Dominguez Sr., of Chilton, TX, Yolanda and husband, Max Rosas Jr. of Rockdale, TX, and Maria McCormick of Temple, TX; as well as numerous nephews and nieces.
