Lorean Emma Kuehl Pulley, was born on May 5, 1934 in Perry, Texas to Elsie Fedra Kuehl and Will Kuehl.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Lewis Pulley, and infant son, William Brent; brother Wilburn Kuehl, and sister Jane Koester. She is survived by daughter, Suzy and husband David Uren; grandsons, Mason Harper and wife Megan, and Cody Uren; great grandson, Maverick and great granddaughter, Montana. Several nieces and nephews. And special friends, Jimmy and Sandy Carpenter.
She was a lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Waco, Texas, which later became Trinity at Badger Ranch. She was a Sunday school teacher, on the alter guild for several years and Lutheran Women’s League.
Lorean also served on the Board of Directors, for the HOT Fair, as well as the fine arts Division for 37 years. She did a cooking demonstration at the Dallas State Fair and also judged baked goods for several years.
She was also known as the "Roadrunner" and wrote an article for the the hometown newspaper, the Riesel Rustler. Many people subscribed just to read her every day life happenings put into humor with purposely misspelling words and every day just good old country slang.
She was also a very avid deer hunter for 40 years, and it all began when her husband, Lewis took her on her first hunt and put her under a mesquite tree and she almost froze to death. After that she was hooked, but learned to always take a jacket because you could always put it on if needed. She and her best friend and cousin by marriage Bruce were probably two of the first women around this area that started deer hunting. Lots of memories and good times were always found at the deer lease. Maybe for all of us except Cody and Jody who had to sit in the car sometimes. HA HA.
She lead a very blessed life and was very strong in her faith and it was a grand arrival with all her family waiting. She did not want anyone to be sad at her leaving and wished everyone to celebrate her finally going home to be perfect with all her family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at Trinity at Badger Ranch with Kevin Lentz officiating. A visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity at Badger Ranch.
