Joyce Barrington

November 11, 1938 — May 24, 2023

Joyce Mae Barrington of Lorena, Texas, joined the Angels in Heaven on May 24, 2023. Private Graveside Services will be held at 1:00PM, Tuesday, May 30th at Chapel Hill Memorial Park; Pastor Matt Snowden of First Baptist Church Waco is the Officiant. The celebration was great as she joined hands with her beloved husband, Louis Seburn Barrington, who passed away in 1999. Joyce wanted to celebrate Louis’s upcoming Birthday on May 29th by surprising him with an eternal appearance.

Joyce was born in San Antonio, Texas, November 11, 1938 to William and Irene King. William was a Military Veteran and Joyce and her brother/best friend, Billy King, went to school in Germany, several States in the US, and later they graduated from Connally High School in Lacy Lakeview.

Louis, her husband, was a career Navy Veteran who served three tours in Vietnam. Joyce held down the fort at home and took care of their four children: Mike, Michelle, Mark, and Jesse, who grew up in San Diego and Ramona, California, Abbott, Texas, and Elm Mott, Texas.

Joyce loved animals and encouraged her children to engage in raising livestock and competing in FFA and 4H. She also loved to grow vegetables and plants. She was a fierce competitor in Pinochle, Hearts, and other card games. She was pretty darn good in Dominos and 42, as well! She was an avid reader and loved to watch Korean Soap Operas.

Joyce loved her children, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren. Her life revolved around them all.
Joyce was preceded in death by her loving husband, Louis; her father, William; her mother, Irene; and her son, Jesse DeLeon.

Carrying on her legacy is her son, Mike Barrington; her daughter, Michelle and her husband, Michael Nicoletti; her son, Mark and his wife, Lori Barrington; her grandchildren, Michael Louis Nicoletti and his wife, Shelby; Matt Nicoletti and his wife, Shelly; Mark Joseph Barrington, Sandra Blanchard and her husband, Matt; Malorie Barrington Kreder and her husband, Cory; Rachel Nicoletti Connell, and her husband, McKenzie; and Mason Barrington; her great-grandchildren, Adelaide Blanchard, Emerson Blanchard, Bradan Nicoletti, Christian Blanchard, Wesley Nicoletti, Blythe Nicoletti, Logan Kreder, Arden Nicoletti, and Madelyn Mae Connell.

Pallbearers are Michael Louis Nicoletti, Matt Nicoletti, Mark Joseph Barrington, Cory Kreder, Mason Barrington, and McKenzie Connell.

Honorary Pallbearers are Emerson Blanchard, Bradan Nicoletti, Christian Blanchard, Wesley Nicoletti, and Logan Kreder.

Joyce’s Family would like to express their sincere appreciation and many thanks to Alamo Hospice and Wesley House (Hillsboro).
