Jose Guadalupe Flores, 59, of Waco, TX, passed away on July 3, 2025. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 9, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., at Pecan Grove Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 10, at Oakwood Cemetery.
Jose was born August 17, 1965, in Tacoma, Washington, to Ruben and Rosa (Espinoza) Flores. A lifelong bowler, Jose made history as the youngest member inducted into the Bowling Hall of Fame and achieved nearly 100 perfect 300 games — a testament to his talent and dedication. He worked for several years at Caterpillar.
Jose was an avid football fan who cheered passionately for Notre Dame and the Washington Redskins. He found joy in hitting the golf course, attending Comic-Con with his son, watching movies, and listening to his favorite '80s rock tunes. Those who knew Jose were drawn to his dry, witty, and sarcastic sense of humor. He had a gift for making people laugh and feel welcome.
Jose was preceded in death by his mother, Rosa Flores, daughter, Amanda Flores, and brother, Ruben Flores, Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Cindy Darr Flores; son, Joseph Flores, son, Michael Mullins and wife Eunice; brother, Rafael Flores, Sr., sister, Diana Stephens; father, Ruben Flores, Sr., six grandchildren, Kailee, Beau, Alana, Autumn, Nathan, and Luna; nieces, Ariel and Jayden; nephews, Ruben, Rafael, and Cleve; his bowling family; along with many other family members and friends.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and friendship that will never be forgotten.
