Johnny Joe Gomez

Johnny Joe Gomez, 72, of Robinson, Texas passed away on February 18, 2026. He was born on August 1, 1953 in McGregor, Texas.

Johnny went to school in Ogelsby. He enjoyed fishing and was a truck driver for several years. His hobby included a collection of baseball and football cards.

He was a veteran and served in the United States Marine Corps from 1975 to 1979.

Johnny is preceded in death by his wife, Vicki Vasquez Gomez and his mom and dad, Carmen and Fred Gonzales.

Survivors include his daughters, Irene, Crystal, Cindy and husband Jason, and Lindy; grandchildren, Alex and wife Bri, Maribelle, Chloe, Meagan, and Reagan. Great Grandchild, William; siblings, Mary Lou and husband Mark, Freddy and wife Belinda, Tony and wife Sherry, and Mary and husband Eddy; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home with burial following at Robinson Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 23, 2026 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Alex Leos, Chris Gonzales, Mark Stout, Dale DeLeon, Matt Whiteside, and Johnny Whiteside.
