John C. Hively, Jr.

John Clifton Hively, Jr., 85, of Hewitt, died Sunday, January 25, at a local hospital. The memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday February 14, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home.

John, a Christian, has gone home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. John was born November 23, 1940 in San Diego, California to John C. and Wilda M. Hively. He married Jill Suzanne Spoor July 6 1960. John served in the California National Guard and the Army reserves. He worked in the mobile home business in California and then in Waco, Texas in 1974. He became the Vice President of Operations for Centurion Homes Corporation. He started his own business, Dayspring Wood Products and worked as a skilled cabinet maker for over 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Terry Hively.

Survivors include wife, Jill of Hewitt; son, Todd Hively and wife Pat, of Robinson; grandchildren Christopher Hively and wife Stefanie, Jonathan Hively, David Hively and wife Kayla, and Sarah Hively Powell; great-grandchildren Daniel Hively, Arietta Hively, Dhara Hively and Delilah Powell.
