Joan "Jody" Purczinsky

Joan “Jody” Golding Purczinsky, 85, of McGregor passed away Sunday, September 06, 2015. Funeral services will be held 10am Thursday, September 10 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco, with interment to follow at Lorena Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Wednesday, September 9 from 6-8pm.

Jody was born to Otis and Rebecca Golding April 26, 1930. She married Roy “Ski” Purczinsky on September 8, 1950 in Lorena. Jody loved being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She took care of everyone in the family, especially Ski, the love of her life. Nothing made her happier than a win by her Nebraska Cornhuskers and fond memories of happy times in McCook, Nebraska.

Jody is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ski; brothers, Earl Golding, Jack Golding; grandsons, Christopher and Jeffrey Jones, and nephew Jackie Earl Golding.

Jody is survived by her children, Chuck Purczinsky and wife Connie, Laurie Curtis and husband Mike, Dave Purczinsky and wife Dana; grandchildren, Luke Prohaska and wife Becca, Josh Jones, Micah Jones, Maggie Stanley and husband Spencer, Nathan Purczinsky, Zach Purczinsky, Gus Purczinsky, Hallie Purczinsky; great-grandchildren, Madi, Tyson, and Graham Prohaska; sisters-in-law, Ruth Merilian, Stella Golding; niece, Beverly Bawcom; and nephew, Jonathan Golding.

The family wishes to thank the wonderful entire staff at Westview Manor Nursing Home for the loving care given to Jody.
