Jimmie (Jim) Davis Wallace, age 73, of Trinidad, TX, passed away on January 10, 2026 in Tyler, TX. He was born in Waco, to James Davis Wallace and Betty Ruth Blagg Wallace on April 1, 1952. He married Jere Lou Hamilton on March 22, 1974.
He attended school in Grand Prairie and Robinson. He worked for the City of Waco, on off shore oil rigs, at Borden Milk Company, and most of his life as an auctioneer. He also was a glassblower, a trade he learned from his uncle Pat. He used to show off his skills at Westfest and also Christmas at the Fort at Fort Parker.
His favorite hobbies included fishing, camping, and bowling. He was very proud of an achievement of a 297 game. He also liked to race dirt track cars in the 1970s and 80s at Heart of Texas Speedway in Elm Mott. He was also a collector of antique cars and loved to restore them from the ground up.
He was preceded in death by his father, JD and his mother, Betty.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Jere of Trinidad. His son James and wife Patty of Waco. Grandchildren, Kasey Wallace of Waco, Dakota Wallace and wife Faith of Duncan, OK, and Megan Hann and husband Gavyn of Troy. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren, two brothers, Charles of Lott and Ricky of Temple and his puppy, Katie.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 23, 2026 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 24, 2026 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home with Pastor David Arnett officiating. Private Burial will take place at Cottonwood Cemetery in Mooreville.
Pallbearers will be Brian Fulton, Ricky Fulton, Dakota Wallace, Gavyn Hann, Jimmy Bearden, and Charles (Chuck) Ortolano.
