Jeraldine Laverne Kurtz

Jeraldine Laverne Schreiber Kurtz was born August 15, 1940, to Theodore Schreiber and Alma Steinke Schreiber at Mart, TX. She graduated from Riesel High School in 1958 where she was a cheerleader. She married Richard Kurtz on June 7, 1958. They had a son, Curtis Kurtz. Her favorite pastimes were sewing, gardening, and making pickles (and her bread and butter pickles were the best ever). When asked if she liked flowers, her reply was “only in other yards, if you can’t eat it then I usually don’t plant it!)

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son.

She is survived by her next of kin, (her double cousins) Lloyd Steinke and wife Mildred of Elk, TX, Janet Strunck and husband Aubrey of Mart, TX, and Gary Steinke of Riesel, TX; and many other cousins and friends.
