James Franklin McKee

James Franklin McKee, age 59, of Eddy, Texas passed away Saturday, June 27, 2026 in Temple, Texas. There will be a Celebration of Life Visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 2nd at Pecan Grove Funeral Home.

James was born September 28, 1966 to Larry Addison McKee and Rosemary Ford McKee in Temple, Texas. He grew up in Eddy and attended Bruceville-Eddy schools. James work for Overhead Door in Hewitt. In his spare time, he found great joy in woodworking, taking pride in creating beautiful pieces with his hands. His craftsmanship reflected his patience, creativity, and the care he put into everything he did.

He was preceded in death by his parents.; paternal grandparents, Wilbert and Edith McKee; maternal grandparents, Beryl and Emma Sue Ford.

James is survived by his daughter, Lexie Horizon McKee and boyfriend Paul; brother, Robert Addison McKee; uncle and aunt, Wayne and Elaine Randolph; along with numerous cousins and a host of friends.
