Gregory Christopher Wagner

Gregory Christopher Wagner, lovingly known as Greg, passed away peacefully at home in Eddy, Texas on September 4, 2026, surrounded by the love of his wife.

Born on April 28, 1964, in St. Louis, Missouri, Greg spent most of his childhood growing up in Dallas, Texas. He built a career through many different jobs over the years. One of the places he truly enjoyed working was O'Reilly Auto Parts in Waco, Texas, where he appreciated the people he worked with and the friendships he made.

Above all else, Greg was a devoted Husband, Father, Gampy, and friend. He shared a loving marriage of 31yrs with the love of his life, Florance Wagner, and together they built a life centered on love, laughter, memories, and family.

He leaves behind his wife, Florance R.Wagner of Eddy, Texas, children: Christopher Wagner of Houston, Texas, Meagan Goodwin and her husband, Travis, of Troy, Texas; and Nicholas Wagner and Vanessa Tovar, of Lewisville, Texas. Greg was a proud and loving Gampy to his cherished granddaughters, Ellanore Goodwin, Evangeline Goodwin, and Kehlana Wagner and his grandson John`Ray Wagner who brought him endless joy and laughter.

He is also survived by his mother, Carol Sue Malicoat of Liberty Hill, Texas; his brother, Robert Wagner of Pflugerville, Texas; and many extended family members and friends whose lives he touched.

Greg was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth W. Wagner and wife Janet, his brother, Richard Wagner, his sister-n-law, Maryanne Hayes, and his father- and mother-in-law, John and Angelita Rodriguez.

Greg had a curious mind and a creative spirit. He loved building things, reading about trains, learning about history, and spending time outdoors, happily "piddling" on projects around the house. He could strike up a conversation with just about anyone and was known for his unique sense of humor that often caught people by surprise and left them laughing.

His greatest joy in life was his family. He was immensely proud of his children and the lives and careers they built. He adored his wife with a warmth that never faded, not even for a moment. He treasured every memory made with those he loved, and those moments will continue to bring comfort and smiles to all who knew and loved him.

Greg often said, "It is what it is," a simple phrase that reflected his practical outlook on life.

The family will have a “Celebration of Greg’s Life”, all information will be announced via Facebook.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate teams at Texas Oncology and Bluebonnet Hospice Care for the exceptional care, kindness, and support they provided during Greg's final journey.

Though Greg's presence will be deeply missed, his love, laughter, generosity, and the memories he created will remain in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
