Grady "Robby" Sullivan

Grady Roberts “Robby” Sullivan, 83, of Robinson, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2026. Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we are full of hope knowing he is now healed and home with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Robby was born on November 24, 1942, in Waco, Texas. He attended University High School and, after graduating, married the love of his life, Ann Fowlkes Sullivan, on December 23, 1964. Together, they shared 48 beautiful years of marriage built on love, devotion, and family.

Robby worked as a switchman for the Cotton Belt Railroad for 40 years, where he dedicated himself faithfully to his work and those around him. Though he valued his work, the greatest joys of his life were always his family. In 1969 and 1971, Robby and Ann welcomed their beloved children, Darren and Kristy, through adoption—one of the greatest blessings of their lives.

Nothing mattered more to Robby than sharing life with Ann and raising the family they loved so dearly. His children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were his pride and joy, and he treasured every moment spent with them.

Robby filled his days with many passions and hobbies. He especially loved fishing, golf, driving his fully restored 1932 B Model, photography, bird watching, traveling with his wife and longtime friends Randy and Georgia Kattner, and spending time in the Word each and every morning. He was a faithful member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church for over 50 years, where he served as a deacon. He was also a Mason, a Shriner, and a member of the Legacy Bass Club.

Robby was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Fowlkes Sullivan; his parents, Grady Morris Sullivan and Vally Mae Sullivan; and his brother, Bobby Morris Sullivan.

He is survived by his children, Darren Sullivan and wife Rhonda, and Kristy Kyle and husband Kevin; his grandchildren, Kaylee Clark and husband Drew, Kamryn Niemeier and husband Colten, Hannah Chapman, Emory Chapman, Courtney Cader, Hunter Yoes, Mabry Yoes, Ryan Kyle, Jake Kyle and Katie Kyle; his great-grandchildren, Arden Clark, Collins Clark, Sloan Clark, Sullivan Niemeier, and Annie Kay Niemeier; his sister-in-law, Barbara Sullivan; his niece, Kathy Mariotti and husband Les; his nephew, Bobby Morris Sullivan Jr., “Bubba,” and wife Diane; and many cherished family members and friends who became like family. Lastly, he is survived by his loyal chocolate lab, Sophie.

Robby’s family will receive visitors on Wednesday, May 13, from 6-8 p.m. at Pecan Grove Funeral Home. A celebration of Robby’s life will be held at Meadowbrook Baptist Church on Thursday, May 14, at 10 a.m., officiated by Dr. Cary Killough, with a graveside service to follow at Robinson Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Meadowbrook Baptist Church.
