Gloria Metcalf

Gloria Dean Metcalf, 75, of Waco, TX, passed away Friday, August 13, 2021. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 20, at Rosemound Cemetery, 3201 S 12th St, Waco, TX, with Pastor Yolanda Romero officiating.

Gloria loved God and loved people with all her heart. She loved to give back to others with what God had given her and she loved to serve. Gloria enjoyed cooking and baking for her family, friends and church but what she loved most of all was her little baby, Harley. He was hers and she was his. There was a special bond between them that could never be broken.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, C.O. and Viola Honea Puryear; and daughter, Norma Jean Simons.

She is survived by her husband, Tommie Metcalf; daughter, Trixie Simons; son, Frank Simons, Jr. and wife Darlene; sister, Lita Herron; brothers, Robert Puryear and Gene Puryear; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

You will be missed but this is not goodbye, but till we meet again.
