Gloria Jean “Lady” Lewis, 84, of Waco, TX, passed away Monday, April 6, 2026.

Lady was born at home in Waco, to Carl and Hortense (Horan) Diver. She attended LaVega schools and was a member of Primrose Baptist Church. She taught Vacation Bible School, Sunday school, and held backyard Bible clubs at her home. She worked many years in childcare. She also was an Avon representative. Above everything, she loved being a homemaker, taking care of her children.

Lady was a beautiful soul with a deep and abiding faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was a wonderful and fun mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her example of how to live a Christian life was an inspiration to everyone around her.

Lady was preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Kathy (Lewis) Dutcher and Cindy Lewis; son-in-law, Jody Bowen; brother and sister-in-law, Kelly and Alice Connally; and sister and brother-in-law, Agnes and Ray Temple.

She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Bowen; son, Kenneth Lewis; brother, Carl Wayne Diver; grandchildren, Laura Coulson, Jennifer Coulson, Kaiti Webb and husband Thomas, Joseph Bowen and wife Lizeth, Shaina Dutcher Gamez; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Coulson, Malakhi Coulson, Paul Dresner, Jim Lassetter, Greg Snell, and Joseph Bowen.
