Earl Gene Miller, 89, of Waco, TX passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2022.
He married Yvonne (Calvert) and they shared sixty-seven wonderful years together.
Gene began working for the City of Waco Fire Department in 1956. He was very passionate about his career as a firefighter and retired in 1993 after thirty-six years of service. He was later a self-employed contractor until 2015. He built many houses and laid tile-flooring. After retirement, he enjoyed spending time at local livestock auctions.
He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Miller; son, Michael Miller and wife, Elizabeth (deceased); daughter, Cynthia Dutch and husband, Richard; daughter, Russ Ann Moore and husband, Jeff; grandson, Casey Miller; granddaughters, Jessica Kelly and Alyssa Deweik; along with five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Healthcare of Texas (formerly Providence Hospice) at 6700 Sanger Ave. Waco, TX 76710 in memory of Gene.
In honor of Gene's final wishes, no services have been planned at this time.
