Ernestine Puente

Ernestine Puente, 91, of Waco, passed away on February 7, 2026 in Waco. She was born in Buda, TX to Concepcion Suares on March 16, 1934.

 She was married to Moises H. Puente Sr. of 52 years. She worked as a tech for Marathon Battery for many years. 

Ernestine was preceded in death by her husband Moises Hernandez Puente Sr, Daughter-in-law Cindy Sintia Morales Puente, and two sons, Roland Puente and Eric Puente.

 Survivors include son Moises Hernandez Puente Jr: granddaughter Melissa Meetze & her husband Phillip Meetze, grandson Shawn Puente Sr. and his wife Kelly Puente, granddaughter Monique Casarez, granddaughter Mariah Ellis and her husband Bo Ellis; 9 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. 

A visitation will be held Tuesday, February 17, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. with the rosary following. A funeral service to honor, Ernestine Puente, will be held at 12:30 p.m. at Pecan Grove Funeral Home. Burial services will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. 

Pallbearers will be Philip Meetze Jr., Bo Ellis, Celestine Sandoval Sr., Justin Arechiga, Benito Arechiga, and Jayson Nott.
