Elizabeth Jane Smallwood, 15, of Robinson, TX, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2026. A Celebration of Life will be 11am, Wednesday, March 11, at Mighty Wind Worship Center, 1100 Washington Ave, Waco, TX. Visitation will be held one hour before, beginning at 10am, at the church.
She was born June 15, 2010 in Houston Texas. Lizzy was diagnosed with Pitt Hopkins Syndrome at just 18 months old, but from the very beginning she proved herself to be a true warrior. She faced every challenge with a strength that inspired everyone who knew her. Through it all, her beautiful smile and joyful laughter never left her. Lizzy was the sunshine in the rain and the light in the darkness. Her spirit shined brightly, bringing warmth, hope, and love to all who had the blessing of knowing her.
Lizzy loved, Loved, LOVED music. She was happiest hearing any music. She liked listening to music whether it was on the tv, the iPad, or the record player. She had a few songs that we will listen to and always think of her. One song that she loved listening to was “Multiplied” by NEEDTOBREATH. Please listen to this song and be reminded of the beautiful little girl in heaven dancing and singing to the choir in heaven.
Her memory will forever be cherished by her parents Steven and Chastity (Bueno) Smallwood, brothers, Anthony Smallwood and wife Dee, Ryan Smallwood and wife Ava, and Jace Smallwood; grandmother, Marty Smallwood; grandfather, Kerry Smallwood; grandparents, Marty and Maria Busse; along with many aunts, uncles cousins, and extended family and friends. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her uncle, Evan Aleman.
Memorials may be made in Lizzy’s name to the Pitt Hopkins Research Foundation.
