She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren and their families: Timothy and Shonna Tobias and their children, Claire and Cole; Jonathan and April Tobias and their daughter, Grace; Matthew and Amy Tobias and their children, Kylie, Reid, and Haden; Eric and Larissa Dieterich; Kyle and Lilia Dieterich and their children, Emilie, and Leona; and Kristin and Michael Rushing and their children, Audrey and Benjamin.

Jane is further survived by her sisters and sisters-in-law, Ann Duke, Carolyn Alvarnas, Joyce Swinnea, and Kris Swinnea, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, C.L. “Rabbit” Dieterich; her parents, Albert and Eunice Swinnea; her parents-in-law, Leo and Meta Dieterich; her brothers, John Swinnea and Sully Swinnea; her sisters-in-law, Laverna Pursche, Jeanette Bennett, and Bonnie Swinnea; and her brothers-in-law, Curtis Dieterich, R.D. Pursche, and Danny Alvarnas.

A service to celebrate Jane’s beautiful life will be held on June 23, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Riesel, Texas. Her six grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Ascension Providence Village for the compassionate care and kindness they provided throughout the many years Jane called it home.
