Donny Killins

Our Dad, Donny Lee Killins, passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2023, after a long and difficult battle with C.O.P.D. among other health issues. Donny was 66 years old.

He was the loving father of Sylvia Lynn Harris, Clifford Lee Killins, Shawna Sue Bolen, Crystal LeAnn Beauregard, Alyssia (Dugga) Renee’ Woolley, Densel (Dede) Allena Adam, Palmer John Adam, Jr. and gloating Papa of grandbabies Kevin Andrew Harris, Brandon Lee Douglass, Shawn Michael Douglass, Brittney Marie Harris, Stephen Paul Richards, Dalton Lee Killins, Nathan Cole Killins, Hannah Rose Bolen, Cody Lee Bolen, Brittany Nicole Killins, Travis Joseph Beauregard, LeAnn Rose Beauregard, Jarome (Roni) Alex Milton, Jr., Jaharii (Harii) Ameer Milton, Derrenee’ Ameerah Wilson, Michael Alexander Holmes, Jr. (Blvd.), Jade Amoura Sargent and great-grandbabies Ella Lynn Harris, Andrew Maxwell Harris, Kaden Gene Harris, Mason Storm Martinez, Mea Rayne Martinez, Graham (Cracker) Mason Walker, Ivy Morgan Walker, and Nyah Lynne Walker. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Donny was born on August 24, 1956 to William Andrew Killins and Grace Helen Heckman in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Growing up, he had an incredibly adventurous childhood centered around good food and plenty of mischief. He was quick to joke and make others laugh. Family was always important to him. He loved well and never made people feel judged.

Donny had a strong work ethic and was passionate about his career as a ceramic tile setter. He encouraged everyone he knew to “find something you love and you will never work a day in your life.” When he wasn’t setting tile, you could find him fishing, or tilling, planting, and harvesting his vegetable garden. He liked watching old westerns and crime shows.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 11th from 6:00-8:00 pm at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr., Waco. His Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 13th at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
