Donna Faye Terry

Donna Faye Terry, 87, of Robinson, TX, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2026. She will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Seaside Memorial in Corpus Christi, Tx beside her late husband Roy Vertis Terry also of Corpus Christi who passed away June 2, 2004. Donna and Roy married Feb 16,1988 and enjoyed the happiest days of their lives together. They knew each other for less than 20 years but grew up just miles apart in Indiana without knowing until they were introduced on a blind date in 1987. Donna was born in Oolitic, Indiana on May 4, 1938 to William Alfred Brafford and Etta Hannah Blake Brafford. She was the youngest of her siblings Delmar Brafford, Mary Oliver and Ward Brafford, all of whom preceded her in death.

Donna is survived by her sons Mark Stephan Ashcraft and wife Vanessa of Leander, William (Billy) Roger Ashcraft, Jr and wife Laura of Corpus Christi, and Anthony (Tony) Wayne Ashcraft and wife Karen of Robinson. Grandchildren include Stephanie Ashcraft Rinn and husband Robert, Chase Ashcraft and wife Meghan, Quentin Ashcraft and wife Alexandrea, Cody Ashcraft and wife Monica, Brandon Ashcraft and wife Theresa, Bailey Ashcraft Edwards and husband Matt, Braxton Ashcraft and wife Cassidy, and Brooke Ashcraft. Great grandchildren include Elizabeth, John Henry and George Rinn, Jackson Ashcraft, Cameron, Catherine and Grayson Ashcraft, and Callan Edwards.

Donna also cherished her relationships with her nephews Dennis Oliver and late wife Beverly, Jim Oliver and wife Kathy, niece Sue Burget and husband Mike, sisters in law Frieda Brafford and Jean Hamilton, and dear friends Billy and Judy Maderer.

Donna graduated from Oolitic High school, and one of her first jobs as a teenager was in an insurance office in Oolitic. She loved working with numbers and in an office setting. She took courses at Delmar Community College in Corpus Christi which prepared for several jobs including her 30 years of dedicated service to Gulf Business Forms in Corpus Christi. Once she retired, Donna moved to Robinson, Tx where she called home until she went to her Heavenly home earlier this week.

Her boys were her pride and joy, and Donna never let a family get-together end without tearfully telling all of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren how proud she was of them all. Donna treasured spending time with her family, gardening, reading, crocheting, baking and long walks by the ocean. She was famous for her chocolate pies, which were often fought over at holiday gatherings. She had a green thumb and always had lots of plants and a beautiful yard. When her boys were younger, Donna spent countless days at sporting events and later enjoyed attending school activities with her grandchildren. She often reflected on photos of family and the fond memories made over her long life. Donna never missed an opportunity to share how blessed she was to have such a wonderful family who loved her so well. While her family is deeply saddened by Donna’s absence on earth, they rejoice in knowing that she has been fully restored and is walking by the sea in Paradise with Roy.
