DeWitt Felkner, age 91, passed away in his home on the morning of October 15, 2025. He was born on September 3, 1934, in Waco, TX, to Harry Felkner and Mable Felkner. He married his loving wife, Faye Morrison, on June 14, 1967. He was preceded in death by his loving Wife-Faye Felkner, Father-Harry Felkner, Mother-Mable Felkner, Brother-Henry Felkner, Grandson-Aaron Woodruff, and Great-grandson-Adrian Garcia.
DeWitt and Faye have a total of five children between them: Jacky Felkner, Larry Felkner, Shonna Felkner, Tammy Felkner-Woodruff, and Terry Felkner. They have 12 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren. In the early years of his life, he was a hardworking and loyal son to his parents, helping them on their dairy farm in Hallsburg, TX. He then went into the auto parts industry at Dana Corporation and could still quote parts numbers galore. Later in life, he worked many years at Triangle Tower in Waco, TX. He was blessed to have been able to work 2 jobs until he was almost 90 years old. He didn’t just work with his co-workers; they became family to him, and his heart was full of love for them. In 1970, he and Faye joined the Parkview Baptist Church and later Cornerstone Baptist church, where they raised their family.
DeWitt was a very special Dad, Grandpa, Great, and Great-Great Grandpa because he had a unique way of making each person feel like they were his very favorite, and truly, they each were and will continue to argue that point. He had a smile that could light up the darkest of rooms and was always ready with a big hug. He led by example how to be a loving man of God and lived everything he preached.
Don’t be surprised as he continues to yell during every Cowboys game.
