Debra was a strong-willed woman whose determination, resilience, and unwavering spirit carried her through life. She faced challenges with courage and grace, and those who knew her admired her strength and devotion to the people she loved. Above all else, Debra was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose greatest joy came from her family.
The love of Debra's life was her husband, David Dean Miller. Together, they shared 46 glorious years of marriage, building a life full of love, laughter, memories, and unwavering commitment. Their bond was one of true partnership and devotion, and the love they shared was evident to all who knew them.
Debra had a special gift for nurturing life. She loved plants and flowers and took great pride in tending to her gardens. Her beloved lemon tree, vibrant sunflowers, and colorful flowering plants brought her immense joy and reflected the warmth and beauty she shared with the world. She also deeply loved her pets, considering them cherished members of her family.
Some of Debra's happiest memories were made outdoors with her children. She loved taking them camping at the lake, where days were spent fishing, exploring, laughing, and enjoying the simple pleasures of being together. Those treasured moments became lifelong memories for her family and remain a testament to her loving and adventurous spirit.
Debra is survived by her devoted husband, David Dean Miller; her son, Robert David Miller and wife Jennifer of Waco; her daughter, Christine Renee Miller of Waco; and her son, Noah Patrick Miller of Grand Prairie. She is also survived by her stepdaughters, Shirley Attaway, Brandy Miller, and Kamicka Miller.
She was a proud grandmother to Andrea Pena, Atticus Miller, Zaccheus Miller, David Storm, Tabitha Storm, and Jared-Ricky Miller, along with many other beloved grandchildren. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Ezra Miller and Echo Miller, as well as many other treasured great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, James Hawkins; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Debra was preceded in death by her parents, Edith Evelyn Hawkins and Robert Hawkins; brothers, Jeffrey Hawkins, Robert Dedelick, and Norman Wallace.
Though her passing leaves an immeasurable void, her family finds comfort in the countless memories she leaves behind, the love she shared so freely, and the example of strength and devotion she set throughout her life. Her legacy will continue to bloom in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, much like the flowers she so carefully tended.
Forever loved, forever remembered, and forever missed.
"Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure. She was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure."
