David Gerald "Jerry" O'Neal

David Gerald “Jerry” O’Neal, 78, of Waco, Texas, passed away on November 27, 2025.

Jerry was born on December 26, 1946, in Riesel, Texas, to Billy and Florence O’Neal. He grew up in the Central Texas area and attended Waco High School, where he made lifelong friends and developed an outgoing, friendly nature.

A dedicated and hardworking man, Jerry spent more than 45 years as a truck driver—a career he began in his early twenties. He took great pride in his work on the road and valued the friendships and connections he made along the way. For the last 20 years, he was employed with Alamo Steel, where he was known for his strong work ethic and reliability.

Jerry was a social butterfly who never met a stranger. He had a caring heart and a gift for making people feel welcome and appreciated. Above all, he cared deeply for his family, who were the center of his world. His kindness, humor, and unwavering love will be remembered by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Adrienne Kay O’Neal.

Jerry is survived by his daughter, Tammy O’Neal Turner; granddaughter, Hunter Quinn; grandson, Landon Turner; great-grandchildren, Jase and Jaxon Pauley; brother, Leslie Brooks; step-daughter, Aimee Bivens-Morris, and niece, Carla Brooks.
