Danny Thomas Rhodes, 71, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2026, surrounded by his family and friends.
Raised in the suburbs of Chicago, he built a life defined by hard work, service, and unwavering devotion to his family. He graduated from Illinois State University with a bachelor's degree in Biology and a minor in Accounting, beginning a successful career in which he mentored and inspired countless employees through his leadership and integrity. Beyond his professional accomplishments, he was deeply committed to service and personal growth. He achieved the distinction of State Master Councilor in Illinois DeMolay and later served as Worshipful Master of his Masonic Lodge, reflecting his dedication to leadership, fellowship, and community.
His greatest pride was raising his family and the relationships he nurtured throughout his life. In 2010, his family grew even larger when he married the love of his life, Becky, beginning a joyful new chapter filled with love and shared adventures. In 2017, he was diagnosed with Multiple System Atrophy (MSA), a rare progressive neurological disease. With remarkable determination, courage, and resilience, he far exceeded expectations, fighting the disease for nearly a decade. His strength, optimism, and enduring love for those around him will remain an inspiration to all who knew him.
He is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Becky; his sister, Judy; the mother of his two children, Cindy; his son, Greg; his daughter, Tiffany, and her husband, Andy; his stepdaughters, Candice and Megan, and her husband, Chris; and his cherished grandchildren, Trinity, Dakota, Ryker, and Judson. He found great joy in spending time with his family, and his love, guidance, and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Dan Rhodes faced every chapter of his life with strength, compassion, and unwavering determination. His example will continue to inspire those who knew and loved him, and his memory will remain a lasting blessing.
