Consuelo "Connie" Gutierrez

Consuelo C. Gutierrez, lovingly known as Connie, 78 left this world to be with the lord on August 11, 2025, in Waco Texas. She was the loving wife of Guadalupe Gutierrez Sr. sharing 48 loving years together.

Born on March 25, 1947, in Waco, to parents Thomas and Aurora Dora Contreras. Connie lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication to her family. She was known for her warm spirit, generous heart, and the simple joys she cherished most—making tamales, scratching off lottery tickets, painting her nails, and spending precious time with her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband Lupe Gutierrez Sr., parents, and siblings Helen Herrera, Josie Rodriguez, Thomas Contreras Jr., and Chris Contreras; as well as two infant brothers, Gilbert and Jose Contreras.

Connie was a beloved mother to Ben Contreras, Mary Castillo, Lupe Gutierrez Jr. and wife Julie, Priscilla Gutierrez, and twins Adam and Adrian Gutierrez.

Her love and memory will forever live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and all who had the blessing of knowing her.

A memorial service will be held at Pecan Grove Funeral Home Friday 22,2025 from 6-8 p.m. Burial will be Saturday 11 a.m. at Santa Cruz Cemetery with Pastor Irie Cuevas. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring her life and saying a farewell until we meet her and our loved ones again.

Though she may be gone from our sight, Connie’s strength, laughter, and love will continue to guide and inspire us.
