WRITTEN FOR GRANDPA BY HIS GRANDCHILDREN. Last night we said goodbye to a real one-our 96-year old cowboy. Not the rodeo kind, but the kind who knew cows better than most people, who could mend a fence before breakfast, and who never started the day without a quiet moment with the Lord. He spent his life on the land, raising cattle and living out his faith with steady hands and a humble heart. His Bible stayed by his recliner, his boots stayed by the door, and his prayers never went unansweredeven if they were sometimes said while bottle-feeding a calf or f ixing a busted water line. He wasn’t loud about his beliefs, but he lived them every day. He loved his family, worked the ranch until his body wouldn’t let him, and trusted Jesus through it all. The fields feel quieter today. The barn’s a little more still. But we know heaven gained a faithful servant who traded his feed bucket for a crown. What a life. What a legacy. What a man. So happy to know his body is fully restored and better than ever!
