Carolyn F. McClary

Carolyn Frances McClary passed away August 1, 2026, at the age of 86. A memorial service will be held at Bruceville Baptist Church in Bruceville TX, Wednesday August 5, 2026, at 10:00am.

Carolyn was born in Norman, Oklahoma, on September 8, 1939, to Elmer Alton and Elva Leota Kees.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her grandmother, Tennessee Rowland, mother Elva Leota Kees and father, Elmer Kees, brother, Donald Ray Kees, and granddaughter, Jamie Lea Higginbotham.

She is survived by her daughter, Amy Eldridge and husband Randy, daughter Jamie McClary, son, Roger D. McClary and wife Cindy, sister, Loretta Clark and brother Ralph W. Ratliff. Carolyn had nine grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.

After WW II, the military moved the family around. She attended The American Dependents School in Kaiserslautern, Germany and Orleans, France. Carolyn volunteer work included working as a “Candy Striper” which was a hospital volunteer. She taught several ladies Sunday School classes and until just a few years ago, she held a ladies Bible Study in her home. She was Saved and Baptized at an early age. Carolyn was a faithful member of Bruceville Baptist Church and only stopped attending when her health prevented her from attending. She worked for the Jay Hawk corporation from November 1, 1976, to May 1, 1978; and then went to work for Watson Electric Supply where she worked from August 27, 1979, until her retirement in 2001, as regional credit manager.
