Bonifacio “Barney” Galvan, of Waco, Texas passed away Monday, June, 15, 2026 at his home in Chalk Bluff. Graveside services will be Friday, June 19th at 11 a.m. at Waco Memorial Park with Deacon Tony Arocha officiating. There will be a visitation from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, June 18th at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, with a pause for the Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m.

Barney was born June 5, 1942 in Mount Calm, Texas to Jesse and Tomasa Galvan. He married Paula Trevino on August 17, 1963 in Waco, Texas. One of his favorite things was spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. He loved to laugh and talk with anyone, and eating sweets from anyone who would make them. His wise words he liked to tell his grandkids, “Don’t worry about nothing, everything is going to be ok.”

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brother, Pete Tony Galvan; sisters, Rosemary Ramirez, Josephine Olivarez, and Beatrice Galvan.

Barney is survived by his children, Joe Adam Galvan and significant other Teri Kramer, George Galvan, and Albert Galvan and wife Stephanie; siblings, John Galvan, Janie Galvan, Gloria Martin, Virginia Lyndecker, and Elena Jones. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jessica Hernandez, Jennifer Galvan, Lisa Orand, Joe Adam Galvan Jr., John Galvan, Zachary Galvan, Freddy Gallardo Jr., and Alonzo Galvan; along with his 12 great-grandchildren with one on the way.

Pallbearers will be Freddy Gallardo, Alonzo Galvan, Zachary Galvan, Joe Adam Galvan Jr., Jeremy Orand, and John Galvan. Honorary bearers will be Emmanuel Garcia Jr., Gabriel Garcia, Adalena Pecina, and Aliana Garcia.
