Billy Ray Vest

Billy Ray Vest, 94, of Hewitt, Texas went to be with the Lord on March 28, 2026. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at Waco Memorial Park, with Bro. Robert Buchannan officiating.

Billy was born to Roy Edward and Melissa (Barnes) Vest, in Frost, TX. He retired from AT&T after 41 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Claradell Vest; daughter-in-law, Kim Vest; grandson, Kyle Vest; brothers, Troy Vest and Dean Vest and his sister, Ruth Wilson.

Billy is survived by his son, Steven Vest of North Carolina; daughter, Linda Kelley and husband Larry of Mart, TX, along with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and his nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank Scott & White Hillcrest staff for their loving care and support during Billy’s illness.

The family asks in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Billy’s name to the Hewitt Police Department, K9 division, or a K9 division of your choice.
